Thanks again guys at lunch I went home and spec affliction (see if armory updated) and DL quartz and started re-programing my macros
and also grabed some gems (put one in the wrong spot but will fix when I get home), then tonight I will head to Kara and see how it goes.
I did not lose that much in Shadow Damage as I thought, I am still over 1k.

And yes your explaination of quartz was perfect.
