I use dr. damage to maximize my gear. a lot of times a piece i think would be better is actually worse in terms of dps. this especially holds true for boss fights. i have a handful of different pieces of gear that i will switch in and out. on some pieces i find that the amount of +damage an item has out weighs the amount of +hit another would give me. so i find dr.damage very handy.
