...I wrote a little inspiration for us all.
I, Warlock
The azure aura permeates the air with an ominous hiss,
A sulfurous haze becomes a choking, burning fog,
Wafting to and fro as ancient runes materialize and dance in the scorched air.
My destiny was recorded upon ancient texts in days of old.
Conjurer? Sorcerer? Master of the Arcane? Lord of Shadows?
I am all of these and I am none of these.
My summoning opens the halls of the Abyss.
I call upon the dark things that move within.
A wave of despair and hate washes over me as the surging power of vast dark magics begins to flow.
I feel alive in this state of flux, death awaits me at my fingertips.
There is no fear for I seek openly that which lies within.
The noise that erupts from inside of me is inaudible as I call it's name.
I exist alone in the darkness while the souls of the abyss sear the air around me in a vortex.
The wailing of countless lives given to evil, to my craft, fills my ears like the winds of
a thousand hurricanes.
I can feel the shards of lost souls burning in a pouch on my hip.
Then as suddenly as it has come it goes.
As the darkness subsides it is now that I face true danger.
I must focus before I am spent. I MUST harness this…thing.
The sweat has soaked me to the core and as the salty beads find their way to my eyes and lips I hear it’s voice again, deep, dark, and anguished.
“Yes, master, why have you summoned me….?”
It is with great satisfaction and renewed vigor that I respond.
“To do my bidding.”
Once again, the demon is mine.
I am all things dark and consuming.
I am a Warlock.
