Hehe, i would like that to be true but no.
Truth is Sargeras was a Titan, protector of the worlds. He questioned the purpose of his mission after falling in depression and being corrupted by the vast amount of demons he banished in the Twisting Nether so he went dark side and started releasing the demons he had defeated to create an army, the Burning Legion. He is the one that enlisted the 2 leaders of the Eredar as generals to command that army in a Burning Crusade against all worlds. The third leader of the Eredar denied to work for him and his people are called the Dranei. The 2 Eredar that accepted are Kil'Jaeden and Archimonde.
It was Kil'Jaeden that created the Lich King by torturing shaman Ner'zhul. I previously used "shaman" as a fun and belittling fact (i play a 70 shaman too so i didn't mean it ) but truth is in my mind Warlocks are born after shamans going dark side like Gul'dan and Ner'zhul and losing the ability to call the spirits but making deals with demons (like Kil'jaeden) gives them , well, other merits
To Theleb: DK maybe have the physical strenth to wield something more than an apple-cutter but that never was an indication of class value. You are inclined towards melee, that much is obvious but you don't have to belittle a class based solely on that. Cause one day an apple cutting lock or mage will make your DK regret it
