Re: Against a pirest's prayer of mending.

I play Druid/Lock on both my warlock and my druid, our usual strat vs. priest/x teams is four dots on both targets, pet on the priest with autodevour on. After the first minute of fighting the only buff on the priest is PoM as it bounces around, and renew. The cooldown on PoM is 10 seconds, devour is 8. So with the pet alone it's very rare that the spell gets more than 1 bounce off before it's gone.

Four dots on both targets (3 if you can't fake-cast immolate, and if your healer can't CC/root/snare the rogue for those casts) and PoM is really a non-issue anyways. If the priest is doing nothing but mana burning and dispelling, you can safely save interupts for the Gheal when it eventually rears its ugly head.

We've had less than 2 minute matches against these teams in the 1700's simply because the priest kept trying to go offensive instead of heal. Also, Mana Burn has a range. 30 yards. Heals are 40 yards. You should be able to fairly safely stay out of mana burn range to heal, than either LoS or back up a little more.

CoEx on the priest helps keep them away so they can't get the clutch Fear-Mana Burn-Mana Burn-Chastise-Mana Burn off on you. CC the rogue/dps as much as you can (really abuse CC here, he'll pop cooldowns fast and then be basically useless if you can survive them). The key to this game is basically Line of Sighting the priest and how good you and your warlock are at locking down the rogue (or whatever dps the priest is with).

Alternately, you can just burn fear ward and trinket off the priest early, make the rogue pop cloak of shadows then wait for diminishing returns on fear, CoT, Fear x3, Spell lock-Death coil and then hammer of justice/cyclone/earth shock/chastise/whatever you need to do to keep the priest locked down as the rogue dies to dots.

Going for the quick gib is much more difficult to do, but it's an easier win and even if you don't get the kill off, you've burned a lot of their cooldowns while keeping your own available, and are a step ahead in the match.

Final piece of advice for Pallies: Judgement of Justice on the rogue and the priest. It will help you greatly in staying out of range of CC/Mana Burns.

Final piece of advice for all casters/ranged: Position is everything in Arena. If you get caught out in the open and are CC'd while they kill your healer, it's your fault. You should be away from melee as much as possible, sitting right on top of hunters to avoid aimed shot/being nuked hard. Away from priests/pallies/druids and close to shamans for totem stomping.
