I am a PVP warlock that has grown tired of the BG's and arena and have decided to try and start raiding more. I still need to do some more research on alchemy in Wrath of the Lich King, but I can see were alchemy would be beneficial to my tailoring and raiding. I seem to be weighing the costs of raid/tailoring mats (potions/primals, etc) vs the costs of alchemy mats (herbs, etc). Any suggestions or opinions?

Keep herbalism for the expansion. Yes dailies are nice income, but you will make $$$$$ on selling herbs for the inscription profession. Roll an alt for alchemy, that way you can sell excess herbs you don't use. At least this is what I would do in your situation.
