before i start i whant to clear something up, arthus wasn't the first death knight, not by a long way. i think the first death knights were, like arthus, paladins who in their quest to cleanse the world ended up slaughtering innocent people believing them to be impure. i am not sure about that bit and i would like someone to help with that but the part about arthus not being the first is definatly right.
i like the idea of a death knight and i dont see them as threat to warlocks.
warlocks are the ones who control demonic powers and bring forth the powers of hell, engulfing someone in flames ect.
death knights folow more a path of necromantic magic, along with their frost magic they seem a completely difrent kind of evil.
wow isn't as simple as good vs evil as has been made clear many times.
to a someone new to wow the horde would seem evil and the alliance good but anyone who has played the game for a while knows this isn't true
i am looking forrward to seeing how the death knight fits into the rest of the game and i will be rolling one at least as an alt.
