My advise would be to experiment a bit, indeed the iHot has no raid purpose and eventually you'll have to choose, I understand you want to have some PvP survival chances on a PvP server, but you might put a PvP set of gear in your baggs for that, when you go more into raiding your going to need all the points you have for raiding beneficial talents.
Like I said, play a bit with the talents, watch your threat, dps, mana with the different options, and find the build that you enjoy best, nobody can tell you what that is.
