I've had a similar experiance with the ptr talents. i couldnt get more than about 1000 dps out of destro.. recent nerfs to imp imp and emberstorm really take it out of competition with the other two ATM.
Affliction could hit around 1500 dps unbuffed for me, but damage on trash was painful
Demonology came in second for unbuffed dps at around 1200, but was much faster on the trash.
Some new DPS classes are over the top, hopefully these things do get balanced before 3.0.2 gets released..
