Increase is 2 ticks.
It's nagging. I can't remember where I read a post about this glyph adding 2 medium damage ticks at the beginning of the curse so that you get -
2*8.3%, 4*4.2%, 4*8.3%, 4*12.5%
Whichever it turns out to be, it's a nice addition for long fights. For levelling I wouldn't mind the extra medium damage at the beginning since most mobs go down with 3 dots (more often than not Curse of Agony has not gone through all 12 ticks).
Re: Which two glyphs to use as affliction
Corr and SB
From what I've read so far (yes I haven't tried since I don't have the level :P) 5/5 EA lets your Haunt or DL reset Corr 100% of the time, Nightfall and the Corr Glyph stack - so your Corr should be up all time with each "unlimited" number of ticks giving you 8% to cast a free SB.
Well, I'm a lowbie so I haven't got the benefit of EA, but I'm noticing my SB proccing more often even if I don't use DL so this glyph combination seems a made pair. I like mana discounts.
If the Glyph of CoEx is minor (I think it is) I'll take the extra 5 yards too.
