With this rotation you lose up times of your Curse of Agony, and Corr with the synergy of your Haunt spell because you are spending time on casting Immolate (1 - 1 1/2 seconds)

My rotation:

Shadow Bolt > Haunt > UA > Curse of Agony > Corruption > Immolate > Siphon Life.

means that Curse of Agony and Corruption gets more of the Haunt effect for longer than yours and therefore over all more DPS.
I'm losing the first 2 ticks of Curse of Agony and 1 tick of corruption, for the front loaded instand damage of immolate (which can crit). it's a horse a piece really. plus, it's a benefit casting UA/immolate together, since you can then always cast UA/immolate together. like one big dot, as i alluded to in my guide.

and, keep in mind, this only matters the very first time each dot is cast, so it's not like that is lost every rotation, since you strive to have 100% dot uptime anyways.

as for "means that Curse of Agony and Corruption gets more of the Haunt effect for longer than yours and therefore over all more DPS."

remember, as i said in my guide, your haunt uptime should be 100%. so it doesn't matter what order you cast the dots in as every tick should get the benefit of haunt throughout the entire fight.

If he stays alive throughout the encounter(kinda hard on Archimonde and Illidan for example) he does a decent amount of damage.
The good thing about the xpac, from my experience in beta, is that there is very little micro-managing to do with pets. With the buffs they received, they stay alive quite well. On fights where it's almost impossible to keep them alive, you're better off with a phase shifted imp.

Think of it this way: you cast Haunt now any DOTS you cast after get the synergy effect, however you have wasted 1 1 1/2 seconds that you could be damaging your opponent casting Immolate.

If you cast Haunt and them immediately cast DOTS those DOTS are ticking while you cast Immolate. The other way there are no DOTS up to work with Haunt until AFTER you cast Immolate. So just pure math your DPS is going to be higher casting the DOTS first (as they get another 1- 1 1/2 seconds to tick) before casting Immolate.
But, as I said, you also then lose the front loaded damage of the DD immolate. Honestly, you can go either way, but you're splitting a teeny tiny hair that might be 1 or 2 dps.
