Ok, I just added the templates to the OP.
As for the program, the speed depends on the precision you wish: the original sample configuration raid file iterates 1000 times, and the average is taken. It takes 1 to 5 minutes on a modern machine. Obviously if you just want a quick estimate of dps, even 1 or 10 times might be enough. However for accurate coefficients, longer runs then more than 1000 times seem to be required.
As for the usability of the program, it is a command line program indeed: you edit the raid configuration file, then run the simulations, and then view the results (either a nice HTML file, or a text file). It's much less user-friendly than, say, Rawr ; but it's no problem once you are used to it.
