For Aces High, I've found this pattern works very well.
1- Target your dragon and cast Revivify on yourself 5 times.
2- With 5 stacks of Revivify on you, find your target. Just prior to attacking hit Life burst
3- Target your mob, and cast Flame Spike 5 times then Flame Shield and Revivify.
4- Repeat step 3 over and over until the mob is dead.
Keep in mind that Flame Shield is not on the same cooldown as the other spells, so as soon as you hit 5 Flame Spikes, do not wait a global cooldown, just hit the shield and then Revivify when the gcd is up and start over with the Flame Spikes.
** Using this method, I've actually fended off 2 of the blue dragons at the same time.
