In my most recent experiences with pvp at level 80 you need to be able to withstand burst damage of your opponents through mitigation or avoidance, while also dealing large amounts of burst damage of your own. For this I recommend the DK build.

But in all seriousness, I started to actually enjoy pvp in season 4 when I got gear and learned how to play sl/sl. At 80 I don't feel that any affliction build can consistently keep you alive long enough to let your dots run their course. I'm not even getting back into pvp until something changes. I don't enjoy getting repeatedly killed by rogues in under 3 seconds. Seriously, if you wait to trinket at kidney shot you will already be dead. At least with a sl/cb build you might be able to blast some people down before they shred you.
