I agree with the above comments. Being affliction myself, i tend to dot him up then fear, using my spell lock on his casts where possible. There is a decent tactic i have not tried myself, but is awesome. It's all about faking casts so you waste his counter spell. Once it's wasted, you can then nuke because of the cooldown (30secs).
Problem is with destruction you have less tormenting dot power, you have to nuke them fast. Curse of tongues is my best strength as a an afflock with UA, messes them up completely, then i fear, and SB/haunt to death.
