I use a similar tactic, just a bit different.
Shadowfury -> Fear -> Immolate -> Chaos Bolt -> Conflag -> Death Coil(Incase they aren't dead yet, you can also use your Felhunters spell lock) and then just spam inscinerate if they haven't silenced you. Devour Magic also helps a great deal to get away their shields.
