I run with a disco priest as affliction and it works pretty well. As affliction you want pressure, not burst. Destro can work, but you will find as affliction unless you are being targeted you won't need to rely too heavily on your team mate for heals as you have haunt, drain life, and siphon life, so your priest can focus more on keeping himself alive and interrupting, annoying the hell out of them where possible. BUT he can also heal you when needed.
I'd go with the typical 54/17 spec (the demo talents are essential) and see how you go. You will have to adjust your play style as playing an affliction lock in arena is much different to destro. I've never played destro in arena, so i don't know if it works particularly well, all i do know is that affliction does work well with a disco priest and it is the preferred spec over destro in that kind of combo, apparently.
