I haven't as yet (touch wood) had any problems with a BM hunter, but then again that could be due to the fact I haven't come across any good ones.
I usually put CoW on the pet and unload on the hunter. With Backlash and the pet hitting me, I get a fair few procs for the insta-cast and can usually drop them quite easily, but that's just me.
