Re: destruction build
Hi Zeni
That looks a bit similar to my current spec...
Like flyingade suggests, I'd recommend trying to save up hit-gear and lose suppression asap... As you're rarely using affliction spells, the mana reduction is practically worthless and there are better ways to get your hit-cap.
As Ugro says too, shadowburn is something that you will rarely use. It costs a HUGE chunk of mana and you'd have to time it perfectly to get the soulshard, so it'd be better to leech it anyway if you need one. (Have just noticed I've specced for this and never use it... see below)...
If you're raiding, your guildies/raid people will love you for having anything that gives replenishment, so Improved Soul Leech will be appreciated!
Fel Synergy will help to keep whatever pet you use alive too... I find that REALLY handy... Like 'locks, pets can't dps if dead... :P
On a related note:
I'm finding it very hard trying to convince my guildies that, as a destruction lock I don't use shadowbolt... They're asking me to look into a respec and take 5 points in that talent, even if I "just throw in one SB every 30 seconds to get the effect!"
I get the impression they think I'm being really selfish not doing that, because it will buff the rest of the raid's damage... I AM going to respec (I've noticed that I don't use one of the spells I talented for at all (shadowfury as mentioned above), so I can use that point somewhere and am likely to swap to the recommended 0/13/58 spec, rather than my 0/13/58 spec), but don't know if it's worth tweaking it so that I have that to keep them happy, or if you think that, in the long-run, the extra DPS I get from being specced well for me, will make up for the lack of extra crit this would give... (I could put a timer on somewhere to remind me to cast it every 30 secs)...
Anyone else had this problem...? I don't want to let the guildies down, but don't want to waste talent points on something that doesn't really help...
