DPS Struggle
I have been playing a Lock since january, first toon. I thought i was progressing well. I hit a bump with the last patch with DPS, but seems most was just recount, but i did still see a change even after recount was changed. After several comments about picking up the DPS, i started to wonder if i was not performing as i should. I put on some of the deathbringer gear to get the 1st set bonus and changed talents to a more standard build. I did see an improvement but I still do not think i am doing DPS that I should be doing. Gear and talent in warcrafter(Yire <Pink Tabard> Bleeding Hollow) or armory.
My rotation for long fights is COE, Immolate, Conflag, Chaos bolt, Incinerate, repeat incinerate until immolate is down and start over. Started trying to do better in watching conflag and chaos to see if they are down before immolate, instead of applying them again with immolate.
Heroics seem to be a miss-mass, but i would say i average 1.5k dps.
Thinking that raids are a little better example instead of heroics I ran VOA 10 last night.
3rd overall Average=2122dps 3.66m damage
archovan
2487dps 375.2k damage
emalon
1962dps 561.2k damage
(died on koralon, we had several attempts average between 1800-2200dps when i was one of the last to die)
My question is with the spec and gear what dps should i be doing?
Anything glaring that needs to be changed to improve my dps?
