If there are people who actually prefer to cap it at 17%, suit yourself but it isn't smart and you will not perform like you should.
Let's use your own toon as an example. Let's assume you join a raiding guild with a GM that tries to organize raids efficiently by taking raid synergy into account. This will allow you to get rid of those pesky hit gems and that PvP trinket. This will subsequentially allow you to stack up more spell power and haste, which you really need as these values are extremely low at the moment. Hey and guess what, that Shadow Priest/Moonkin didn't only help you, it helped 15 other member in the raid. It's a win/win situation
I still don't get what backlash and backdraft have to do with anything here? Anyway, Incinerate doesn't 'consume' anything. When receiveing a melee hit, you simply have a chance to gain an instant cast. Backdraft reduces the casting speed of your next three spells.

So opinions are good as long as they don't disagree with you. Nice
Its nice to know that all the locks running around that are hit capped are stupid. Thank you for that bit of information albiet you are wrong.
As for my toon at least you can look at it while for some reason I can't look at yours. I do know where my toon is lacking which is why I have yet to ask for any advice and just because I am not an active raider anymore doesn't mean I am not knowlegeable on my class and open to agreable and disagreable opinions.
This is taken from the new patch notes:When using Shadowbolt or Incinerate while having Backlash and Backdraft active, only Backlash will now be properly consumed. Which means either none of them are being consumed now or they both are. I had the order mixed up and I apologize for that.
As far as the whole spell rotation I suggest reading the original post if I read it correctly (i am stupid as you have pointed out) there is a spell rotation recomendation, which would work but not an ideal rotation
This will be my last post in this thread and all I have left to say is anyone else who reads this please realize that there is accurate and inaccurate info from everybody on here (myself and the original poster included) so please dont let any of this detour you from asking questions in the DPS and Rotation Help! section which it was intended for.
