Well thank you all for your feed back. Very much appreciated
A lot of inputs there. What I was looking for are advices related to arena rather than bgs or WG though.

The key to a successful arena team is co-ordination and on this side we still have plenty of work to do. We do not use ventrilo and rely on our own skills which is often not enough. Still we enjoy our 50-50 rating and have a lot of fun (a lot of heart bumping ).

First, our only strategy is burst with a little cc when necessary. Our fights don’t last more than 30-40 seconds that is why I don’t focus on pet survivability: it never get focused. Usually I either die before it does or I win with my pet still alive. This is Arena and when I’m on bgs I only use Felguar which I don’t have problems with keeping it alive.

I red Merlin’s guide too. I don’t remember where exactly but I did specifically ask why not taking demonic resilience. The general assumption was that those points are better used some where else. I tried the talent myself and see a noticeable difference but I needed more burst and took more crit at the expenses of survivability.

ISB. Not sure if my mage has the talent for the increased spell crit and I will check on that. Thanks for the tip.. I didn’t think of it :P

Soul fire and Molten core procs. I know the tactic to switch target taking advantage of decimation but it’s not always workable due to pressure from melee. Intensity it’s something I am thinking to get btw. Molten core is a different issue though. I use it only for fast incinerates and it works regardless of the amount of health the target has (I also glyphed quick decay for faster corruption ticks). In the end I find it more useful than decimation pvp wise.

@Malasada. As explained my pet doesn’t get attacked a lot. I believe improved health funnel is only useful when pairing with a healer and using squishy pets like succi or felhunter (in that comp, killing a pet is a viable strategy while killing a pet in a double dps team is not always affordable due to the higher damage pressure. Why try killing someone’s pet when they can kill master first?).

Finally I think that it’s all down to play style. As I said earlier I always run with Felguard because I love the opener that you get with the initial stun. But in Arena it’s often not enough and the lack of cc is unbearable. Thus I am leaning towards succi over felhunter because I think it goes well with my mage cc ability (btw does seduction share DR with anything?) Spell lock would share DR with silence from Mage wouldn’t it?
