When you do not have a mage in the group for extra damage dishing at range, the best strategy I have found for downing the baron (36 runs, 11 of them 5 man, have downed the baron each time, save for 3 runs), is to DS the succy. That extra shadow damage kick can make all the difference in the world. I have been switching back and forth between CoS and Curse of Agony depending on the situation. Also toss on corruption, then shadow bolt in between aoe'ing with either RoF (or hellfire if I have a priest with damage shield).

I have 4600 health unbuffed, 4500 mana. I also have 189 damage bonuses from my gear (that rune of the dead really helps).

The times that I did wipe, I was using imp for health buff. In the long run, not needed. I was always still alive and just kept running out of mana, while the baron was at 20% health or so. Switch out to DS succy and never look back.

By the by, I am horde, my standard grp is tank, priest, me (lock for life), shaman, and then either hunter/rogue/mage depending on what is available.
