Re: Too Many Quests... not enough exp.
Okay, first off, I'd take down the quests you currently have and check out Thott. Â Make sure they're not part of a much longer chain with great rewards at the end.
Then, toss all of the quests that are too low for you if they don't give items you want. Â Don't worry about it. Â The exception would be instance runs: you might as well keep those if you're ever going to do that instance because you can often get up to six of them done in one evening's work. Â Plus, your party will love you for sharing quests with them. Â I guess what I'm saying here is, if you still have Zul'Farrak quests still, keep 'em. Â They're good loots. Â Also keep anything that says "Warlock" on it, of course (You should have gotten a quest to go to Felwood and talk to Nibby, keep that, and the supporting quests from his imp).
Okay, now consider the quests you have left. Â Of those, which ones can you easily get in the town near the quest area? Â If you can snag a quest as you get off a flight path on your way to a zone, then you probably don't need to have it in your inventory, so drop it until you plan on going there. Â Similarly, you may have quests given from items in your inventory. Â Drop them but keep the item. Â When you want to do that quest, click on the item to get it back.
Okay, you've probably cleared about 5 quests from your queue by now, if you're anything like me. Â This is enough to start. Â Go to the zone you'd like to start working on for the end game: The most lucrative (in terms of rep & items) 50+ zones are probably the East/West Plaguelands and Silithus, though Felwood, Un'Goro, and Winterspring have their moments. Â The Bulwark (Western Plaguelands), Light's Hope Chapel (Eastern Plaguelands), Everlook (Winterspring), Marshal's Refuge (Un'Goro) and Cenarion Hold (Silithus) have high quest densities. Â
Take a bunch of quests but leave onea at least one slot open, because you often run into quests in the field that you'd like to take, and do those. Â As you complete this group of quests, take and do their follow-ups if offered. Â DO NOT take quests that involve substantial travel away from your chosen area unless you plan on going to that destination anyway; it will probably open up quests for that destination area, which is good for when you want to head there, but bad if you plan on staying in one place to grind out your current quests.
Doing your warlock and Felwood quests should put you in areas where you can gather Robe of the Void materials; Jadefire Run in Felwood and the Legashi Encampment in Azshara are the places to go to farm for those. Â Essence of Undeath is generally fairly cheap on the auction house, but you get them from the higher level deaders in the Plaguelands. Â There are a couple of quests from Marshal's Refuge in Un'Goro to run around the volcano in that zone; this is probably the best non-instance place to get Essence of Fire. Â Watch out for Hunter Bots in Azshara and Un'Goro (Good way to tell if someone farming Fire Elementals or Demons is a bot: banish their elemental. Â If they continue to unload shot after shot into the immune creature, they're probably a bot. Â If they have "AFK" in front of their name and they're running around killing things, they're probably a bot. Â If you flag for PvP and they mindlessly attack your pet beause it shows up on their radar as a demon, they're probably a bot.).
Don't worry about all those quests you missed. Â They will still be around if you can find them again, and, as an added bonus, if you reach 60 and get bored, you can get much larger cash rewards for doing quests, even if you out-level them.
Good Luck!
