I may be a rare breed, not sure, but I generally go with a phase shifted imp who is nothing but a mana battery. Pull w/ UA, start running around, siphon life, Curse of Agony, Corruption, dark pact, dark pact, stop running, drain, drain, drain dead.
I'll keep experimenting but the benefit is I don't have to life tap (ie i don't really ever have a pet that is out of mana). If I get adds, I just siphon, Curse of Agony, corr, instant howl of terror.
Maybe as I progress and things hit harder, I'll need to let a succy take initial agro, but for now this virtual petless grinding strategy has worked wonders.
