The Felguard is the best demon I have ever used. I have used the voidwalker in situational instances. I was primarly with the succubus, and Imp for those times it was required.

My build is similar to what you have except I am more focused on getting my pet and me buffed with out dipping into Destruction. The .5 second cast time, actually hurts my damage as the spell coefficient is less due to casting time. My crits aren't "huge" but my standard rank 10 SB hits for 1200 ish, no trinket.

I love the raw spell damage that the demo tree now offers along with some key affliction talents I have mapped out "my" ideal demo build at 70.
