To put things into perspective, I run 48 points in Destruction. Yeah, it's a mana hog, but I have no problem potting/bandaging if it means that much more damage.
Soul Leech is well worth the 3 points. Especially when it triggers on a ~3k Incinerate or ~4k Shadowbolt.
Also, I think too many folks get hung up on 5/5 Improved Corruption...especially the PVE'ers. That's 5 points for what is essentially a .5 cast time increase (because of global cooldown). Sure, you can cast it on the run, but how often is that necessary while raiding?
