The Stolen Tome The Human obtains his Imp…
The arcane only corrupts those who are weak. Even if you do not follow the path of the Warlock, you would do well to remember that. - Drusilla La Salle
Quest brief:
Walkthrough:
When you ding level 2, which most of you will from completing the first quest you do, Marshall McBride gives you the quest [2] Tainted Letter. This is basically just to help you find your Warlock trainers which are located just outside the Abbey. If you look at your mini map, you should be able to see the small yellow dot to direct you. Drusilla La Salle is who you want to see…
Once you have handed in the letter and trained, pick up the Imp quest [4] The Stolen Tome. As mentioned above, you can obtain the quest from level 1, but you also need to clear level 4 mobs in order to complete it. Although you are more than welcome to run screaming into the mobs and hope for the best, I would personally recommend finishing the Kobold quest line and reaching level 4 first. This gives you the bonus of another damage spell (Corruption) as well as Curse of Weakness to reduce how much they damage you. If people are already killing the surrounding mobs, or you have a friend to help, by all means finish it earlier.
Once you are ready, you need to make your way to the other side of the river inside the starting area. From Drusilla, head east till you locate the water and cross at the bridge. From the bridge you need to make your way slightly north-west until you can spot the tent against the cliff area. When you crossed the water, you would have noticed Northshire Vineyards, so long as you are north of this (check your mini map), there is only one tent so you can’t miss it. Once you have located the tent, start clearing your way there.
Tip: Immolation, Corruption and Curse of Weakness. Cast those three and the mobs will not only drop like flies, they’ll hardly hurt you. This will help you take on the three guarding the tent without having to worry about nuking.
To make summoning easier, click and drag the spell out of the book and down onto your hot bar, this will allow you to one click summon the imp from there instead of having to open the spell book every time. To summon your imp, simply left click the spell once. Voila!
Note : There are also mods and add-ons that make summoning all your pets easier and clear up hotkey spots, please see the User Interface and Macros section for more info.
To learn more about your Imp, what he can do, his abilities you can purchase and the best ways to use him, please see the Imp Profile Page. (As of Dec 4, the pet profile pages are still in the process of being put together.)
