I get Gentoo Linux installed, recompile the kernel about a dozen times to get the necessary options in there... and STILL Wine refuses to cooperate. I did have a few issues with getting Gentoo installed that I've never run into before. Namely a failure to completely boot with either the framebuffer enabled or ACPI power management on. And to frustrate matters further, every tine I had to compile the kernel, ACPI would re-enable...

Well I am getting to the point that I can firmly state that the best way to stop liking wow is to run a raiding guild.

Let me outline for you:

Last week (prior to Tuesday) we finally downed heroic Faction Champions in 25 man.

A pretty solid accomplishment, at least in my opinion, due to how absolutely terrible the mechanics are.

This week we couldn't down beasts through 32 attempts. So we canceled the rest of the TotGC week and tried to form up...

Not spamming Shadow Bolt.

But having a clear delineation between spell damage and healing.

I miss ignoring spirit.

I miss having tank-level stam.

I miss having amazing synergy across our raid and when forming raids actually having to pay attention to what group I put people in.

I miss every fight not being ridiculous DPS races.

I miss haste only being on the absolute best gear there is.
