I recently went Dual Spec and played around with a few different options and decided on 53/1/17 as spec 1 and 0/56/15 as spec 2. I rarely pvp so I decided to go with 2 PVE specs. I've grown to really enjoy affliction in this expansion so I kept that as my main boss spec. I was using the popular destro spec as my 2nd spec for a little while, but found I was having more fun with the meta spec. Three things drew me to it as a 2nd spec. First, trash/aoe dps is crazy high and fun. Second, my spell power is at the point where demonic pact provides a lot more spell damage than the elemental shaman totem, so I felt having decent raid dps and more raid utility as a 2nd spec was better than 2 pure dps specs. Lastly, I just get a kick out of the 'rawr i'm an f'ing demon!' novelty.

So question to all the locks out there: Have you gone dual spec and if so what specs did you pick and why?

Yea i did. Damn usefull too. I keep a main spec for raids 40/31 demo destro and a second one for questing and farming. When i'm not raiding or alike i spend time doing dailys, the rest of quests i didn't do when i was leveling, and farm. I actually refused to quest before dual because my raid spec sucks bad for it. Now i run a custom 30/41 aff demo, and i'm a farm king. I can even solo 82 elites without much trouble. It is also usefull when i'm helping lower level instances so i don't pull so much agro, as the all-out other one. Doesn't do so much damage but it's still more than enough and keeps me alive if my tank misses a mob. Lot less stress on healer coz i'm self healing by huge numbers all the time.
So, yeah, thanks blizz, dual spec is awesome

I went dual spec, since I enjoy PVE and PVP. I didn't mind the respec fee, but changing glyphs constantly was extremely expensive. My PVE spec is Meta/Ruin because, like you stated, its fun being a demon haha. My PVP spec is destro because, even after the Chaos Bolt nerf, it still hits like a truck when stacked with Conflag and Shadowburn.

i'm 0/41/30 for farming/instances etc and 0/20/51 for PVP (my main aim in the game), I like being able to switch, just wish I could have an aff build and a meta build too.

    Quad Spec FTW!!! lol

0/17/54 and 0/52/19. Both for PVE raiding. Dest is high DPS and Meta/Ruin for Demo Pact for the raid. I do dailies with either.
