The Unstable Economy: Crisis of the Forsaken!

So, during the few days after launch, with very minimal effort, I joined in on the auction house frenzy. With people buying mats hoping to hit Realm First's, and the scarcity of the mats driving insane prices, I easily brought in 2k. All I did was run around mining, and when I had to fight, if greens dropped, I sent em to my enchanter. The Ore, Crystallized essences (Primals, lol), and dusts were going at crazy rates. 20+ gold for one crystallized essence? Ore going for 9g+ a PIECE? Dusts were 25g each.
How are these people, who even if they DIDN'T work hard for their money, so willing to blow it all? Theres a lot of new stuff out there, and far more interesting things to spend money on.
Anyways, in the past day or so, prices have stabilized. 8g for dust, 4g ore, crystallized essences for 2-5g... :-)
How about having level 70 epics that are crafted being out classed by greens? I could see getting replacement gear at 73+, but at 68? Really now, it's a bit extreme. Woe to us when we get past another 2 expansions.
"Turkey, Level 92 Gnome Warrior. 126k/132k, Weapons: (Infinity sign) dps..."
Lol :-) I can see the need to bump stats so new gear is really needed, but getting a 117+ dps weapon on a 68 makes BC a JOKE.
Wierd event: I saw a warrior DWing Hand of Rag and Thunderfury. Why one who was once so great would wield the old glories is beyond me. As I stopped to watch him, he was downed by two crypt fiends. He got the first to 8%, but, with low DPS output (relative), he couldn't kill it.
