To start, there IS NO TOP DPS SPEC. (currently)

The top performing specs, of which any of them are currently viable, are as follows: (note, 3/52/16 is a spec that should also be able to compete, however I do not have the info to add it just yet)

0/41/30
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?warl...31050000000000

Glyphs
-Incinerate
-Life tap (use immolate in the meantime)
-Felguard

Rotation
Immolate, Curse of Agony, Corruption, then Incinerate. You can add lifetap into your rotation as well if you have the glyph. Below 35%, you can use decimation, where you'll cast soul fire every time you land an Incinerate nuke.

2 notes about this spec. First, without 1:1 decimation weaving, the spec will lose roughly 150dps. And 1:1 decimation weaving can't be done with much consistency. The other thing, this spec is very pet dependent. And ulduar hates pets, so use this spec at your own comfort/risk.

0/40/31
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?warl...31051000000000
Pet: Imp

Glyphs
-Immolate
-Life tap (use imp in the meantime)
-Conflag

Rotation
It's more of a priority with this spec than a rotation. Immolate, then conflag, then Curse of Agony, then corruption, then incinerate. Conflag every time the cooldown is up. It's possible you may want to use lifetap every 20 seconds, but that depends on gear.

*Decimation. You will NOT be able to realistically maintain a decimation 1:1 rotation in Ulduar with any amount of consistency. In general, you will do 2x Incinerate, followed by 1x Soul Fire. If you can get to max range and have enough haste, and have the time to pull off a 1:1 rotation, great. But again, more times than not this will not be possible to maintain.

53/1/17
http://talent.mmo-champion.com/?warl...0&version=9767
Pet: Succubus

Glyphs
-Haunt
-Life tap
-Curse of Agony

Rotation
Open up with SB and haunt if precasting is possible. If not (or after sb/haunt), use corruption, then UA, then Curse of Agony. SB as filler, refreshing dots as needed. Refresh haunt as soon as the cooldown is up, but do not cancel a previous spell cast. Below 25%, drain soul replaces shadowbolt as filler. You can use lifetap in the rotation.

THX fallenman, i have one question about which stat is best for each build, crit or haste? And is worth to prioritize an item just because of the spirit?

Is it worth getting the lifetap glyph whilst we are still benefitting from the T7 Life Tap ability? Do they stack?

For spec 0/40/31 the glyph of life tap is better than incinerate?
On Affli you don't add lifetap into the rotation why add on this talent? It is not a DPS loss?

Noticed this morning that the 0/41/30 3/52/16 FG build ninja'd it's way to 2nd and 3rd on Zakalwe's simcraft post on EJ.

Personally, I've been enjoying the new affliction build, much simpler and from what I've seen in the new content, I most certaintly appreciate the simplicity and yes, my succibus died alot (gogo Fel Synergy as in I had no points in the talent first time stepping in).

I started playing with a meta/ruin pvp spec and wow - the raw stats were nuts.

I'm not hit capped in this meta/ruin spec so I would need some adjustments to remove things like the damage reduction talent and meta itself freeing up 4 points.

Essentially it would be a 3/50/15 spec - I haven't run it yet but if the raw stats are an indicator, it could be great come raid time. (My gear is on the armory, self buffed, I am sitting on around 2750sp, 29% crit - neither of these stats would suffer by shifting those 3 points to break the hit cap again).

Thanks for this, just curious on the 41/30 build, demonic empowerment is not chosen, whats the reason for that?

Why succubus? Everyone was calling me a nub during a Naxx run. I told them that I was following a talent guide made by a great warlock. Been following your guide for a year now. Please explain why this pet for the 53/1/17 spec. Thanks

One question I always find my self asking during Heroism.
Should I keep up my dots or use heroism haste to spam SB or Incinerate? Does this depend on talent?

    @Matta
If you are taking the points in Improved Lash of Pain the Succubus will do more damage than the imp or the felhound. It is as simple as that. Usually if someone is giving you sh|t about doing something just tell them to wait until the next boss; pound them into the ground on the damage meter and you usually wont hear much more from them.
