We all know the old saying, and it always rings true. But after too many years, it's time to move on.

When it comes right down to it, the only pleasure I get from this game is raiding, and that's more about the people than the game. I don't log on except for raid nights. I don't level alts, I don't do dailys. I log in, raid, and then log out. That isn't good for the raid, isn't good for the guild, and as has become apparent, isn't really good for me. There are things I would rather be doing, and things I HAVE been doing. When the raid leader misses half the raids for a month straight, it's time for a change.

As much as Self Titled has become a second family to me, the Den is like a third. The discussions, the arguments, the community, everything about this place is amazing. I'll likely still troll occasionally, cropping up in the fun design discussion threads, but this is my official finish with all things involving actually playing the game. I know the community will survive long after I'm gone, and I just hope that maybe I've made a little bit of an impression around here, and contributed at least a little bit to what the Den is.

Luck and levels to you all, in life, in WoW, and in whatever follows.

-Kira

    I do know how you feel and why you are leaving the game. I have actually been grappling with this very subject myself. As of right now, I am still playing WoW but that could change any day now.

    Good luck Kiralyn. Thank you for being a contributing member to this community and I hope to see you around from time to time.

    Noooooooooooooooooooo, I love your insights and posts!

    Anyway, I don't really feel like quitting the game, but the summer does mean a lot of people are 'off' raiding which can put stress on any guild.

    In our guild, I really, really want another lock to be able to raid with us. I'm not hurting for fun in raiding, but I'd also welcome more of a break here and there by getting a new lock in our guild especially when I see it is so nice outside and light until 9pm or so my time. I know that any lock who came in could raid as much as they want.

    I wish it was simply a matter of the same for you, but I know Self-Titled raids officially only a few days a week, so if you are missing those two days then I guess that's a bigger deal.

    You guys are among the best of the best on Mal'Ganis to get as far as you have in the few days you raid. I wish the best for you!

    I'm about 40 days wow-free now (though I've logged in twice to clear mailboxes) and couldn't be happier.

    My new pastime is naming the ~5k faces in iPhoto. No Rogues. Awesome.

    I posted the same to RomaGoth's announcment, but its fitting here as well.

    May the road rise up to meet you.
    May the wind be always at your back.
    May the sun shine warm upon your face;
    the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
    may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
