So far my death knight is only level 69.5 as of last night. (I was to tired, and had to much work to do this morning to finish that half of level before i went to bed.) I have been resiting going out to Northrend until i hit 70. I blew through all the quests in Hellfire, and Zangermarsh. I left Zanger around level 66. I did some of the cenarion quests in Terrorkar and decided to head out to Nagrand instead.

Nagrand was interesting, i'm still trying to figure out where i'm missing 50+ quests. But anyways, Nagrand just seemed to drag on, but it did that for me with my Warlock as well. I figured i'd get all the Hemet quests out of the way, what a bore that was. I remember with my Warlock when i was doing the final parts of the quest lines, i Hijacked an Elite demon to do my evil bidding, to solo the elite part of the hunt, and still almost had my *** handed to me. As a Death Knight I had NO problem at all. The mechanics i've noticed you need to be very precise, know when you're out of runic power, or when your rune's are up. This is more in a tanking or situation where your going against an elite. Tanking with a Deathknight is a blast. I just need to learn the ins and outs of tanking a bit better, since most of my previeous toons have all been distance DPS. I'm not sure if they've dumbed down outland for Lich King or I'm just super uber. Bored with Nagrand i wandered off for Terrorkar, just destroyed that, there are some quests left for me there, not many.

Then we come to Blades Edge. I'm finally starting to notice my starter gear slowing me down some, so i've replaced it with a few greens and blues here and there, just so i don't losse my edge. I'm only partly done with Blades edge i do basiclly the starter quest line there before i get totally bored. THOUGH at 68 i was able to Solo Goc son of Gruul. I'm thinking to myself, no way at 68 should i be able to do this. (It took me 3 times to figure the fight out but once i did it was cake.) I feel kind of ripped off. When i leveled my first horde toon, Horde was definetly not Easy mode. For outland i feel it is. Having played through the Pre-nerfed Vanilla and BC, things are way too easy now. This isn't a bitch fest mind you, and by no way am i hardcore (well i am but because of my job, i can't raid as much as i'd want or at all).

I'm now level 69, and moved onto Shadowoon Valley. Blah I'm looking at the acheivement lists, where are all these supposed quests? Nagrand, Terrokar, and SMV all have the super high quest numbers, but I'm nowhere near them. I'm thinking it has to be the dailies or something that i'm not seeing. Well anyways i'm halfway through 69, and sitting at an inn in Northrend. I think today, i'll regather my will power, and maybe work on Area 52 quests. At least there it doesnt seem Horde/Ally quests but more of a general everyone does it.

In general I'm loving the way DK's are playing out, I'm starting to see less and less of them, and since this is now my main , (Nah i don't miss the alliance at all FOR THE HORDE!) I'm glad to see that drop off. What's also nice is, no matter what spec I am, i'm pretty much ready to go for a raid as a tank or Dps. I LOVE IT!

One other thing before i end this little nonsencial commentery. While questing in SMV i ran into an undead warlock, and we teamed up. I gotta say, other than the pure evilness factor, we destroyed everything in our sight. I'm very anxious to see how this turns out in a pvp type environment. possibly throw in a priest or pally (BE of course) and that might be one wicked awesome arena team.

I'm levelling my lock with my wifes shadow priest and things only progress when she's up to the challenge. So when he's shelved, I'm playing my DK. He's only 64.5 now, but I agree wholeheartedly, the starting gear is OP, I remember with my lock in OL, I got new gear on the very first handful of quests that replaced my epic PVP gear. With my DK I've only replaced the gloves from a quest in Zangar.

I'm still in Zangar too, the increased XP rate from quests is just making it soo much easier.

And your point on fighting mobs, I took on the elite Darkcrest and the other elite Naga mobs solo without the thought of even dying. In fact I came out of one of the fights with full health. DK's are sure going to change how raids/instances play out.

I'm having a bit of fun, but would like to hit a challenge, cos its those "oh s@#t" moments that test your abilities and allow you to learn more about your char.

I'm also going to northrend at 70, not before, although those that i know that went to northrend at 68 said that levelling was ridiculously fast out there.

To be honest I'm glad they made Outland easy, I dont look foreward to Zangmarash for example. In Northrend everything gets a little tougher anyway.

Furthermore I'm sure DK's will get different kind of nerfs since a lot of things they can do (like you say soloing a son of Gruul) is tottaly out of balance.

I was looking at thottbot for that quest to see if it was even solo'able, I saw that a few Warlocks, and a fury warrior were able to do it. (the quest only suggests 2) I think if i went and solo'd Gruul that would be totally different (And pretty kick ***. though there's no tier DK stuff.)
