I still have yet to step one foot inside of Ulduar, if you can believe it. For someone as into the Lore of the game as I am, it kills me not to explore the dungeon. I haven't even made it all the way through Naxx.

There are a few reasons I haven't. For one, my guild (which was once one of the top 50 Horde guilds in Vanilla WoW) had a bit of a falling out and nearly all the more notable members left. This left me, my IRL friend (a Pally), and 3-4 others sitting around. On top of that, nobody else on ever really wants to group or do much of anything. Any instancing I've done since has been pugs or scraped together by the three of us interested at any given time.

I originally joined this guild because my other good IRL friend (whom I also used to work with) was the GM. He recently stopped playing and passed leadership on to someone else. My pally friend isn't much interested in raiding, and so the two of us have jumped on board the PvP train and tend to spend most of our time doing the Argent Tournament Dailies, and then hitting WG whenever it's up. When we're not doing that, we tend to be working on our Alts.

I'd like to see these raids all the way through at least once (and even visit those 5 mans I haven't touched). But I'm not sure how to go about doing it. It would seem rather odd leaving this guild I've been apart of since the beginning for another, and I don't know if my friend would even care to.

Heck, if 10 of you guys joined that would totally rock. Anyways, i just had to get that out there and off my chest.

What server are you on? As much as I'd love to say come to spirestone, we all ready have 3 solid locks in the guild, and with 10 mans being the primary raiding, there isn't space for another :( GL funding some people to raid with

I'm on Dark Iron. I don't really have a desire to leave this realm as there are people I know IRL here. It just gets frustrating at times when you want to go some place but nobody else seems to be motivated. I've gotten pretty good at figuring out good pugs from bad though.

That sounds frustrating. I'm a little worried about ever seeing raids too since my guild is currently working on Ulduar but I'm not even geared for Naxx.

It really freaking sucks to be two steps behind everyone at any given point but not want to leave a server/guild you're comfortable with. In fact I often lament that there are SO many servers. It makes you feel amazingly lucky to have met the friends on your main server, but also wonder just how much you're missing on the others...

Anyway I would suggest taking a chance and asking your friend if he wants to find another guild on your server. It would be sad if you missed all that content. If everyone else is just "sitting around" perhaps they want to leave too but are afraid to take that step. If your friend says no, could you leave without him? He's still your friend after all. Maybe he could come to raids as a pug and see if it's a good fit.

I'm not a fan of burning bridges but sometimes they gotta get singed a little.

Pern anytime I'm on let me know and if I can I'll run whatever you want with ya.Theres usually eneough on in the guild I'm in to run instances anytime. Every now and then we have to pug a healer. We haven't got to do many raids lately with alot of people starting back to college/ school . We do 10 man Ulduar when we have enough people on to do it but haven't been very far into it. I'm usually the only lock in the raids and heroics. Just give me a yell when you see me on and we will try to run some stuff.
