After quitting WoW several times, including this past December, I started playing again in February/March and have done a reasonable job of obtaining gear upgrades.

However....

I have been considering a faction/server change since I found out it was possible a couple of months ago. I have dabbled with some Horde toons since I first started playing WoW, and my desire to go to the dark side has only increased over time.

The server I am on now is quite boring, most of the people I knew in the past have left the server, quit playing, or we just don't talk much anymore.

I am ready for a change. I prefer to solo most of the time, mostly because of the potential for frequent interruptions in my life (wife, kids, etc..). I cannot commit to a raid schedule, thus I rarely raid. I have been running a lot of heroics, however, and I do some PvP (although I am not very good at it -- key bindings ftw). I would be interested in occasional groupings for heroics and/or PvP, and another Lock to converse with. My time is limited because of family (and still looking for a job ).

Any suggestions would be welcome. I would eventually move my Warlock, DK, Rogue, and possibly Hunter. The Warlock and DK are the two primary right now.

I would look for a casual guild on a medium to high pop server. Also you might want to post this in the horde guild recruitment and see if anyone has any suggestions.

You mention you solo alot and why you don't like your current server anymore, but what do you want from whatever server you transfer to? Do you want to raid at some point when you have free time?

Are you looking for a guild or just a new server to faction transfer on. You're Alliance, is the horde side of your current server worth testing out before you try both a faction and server transfer?

FOR THE HORDE! (ok, so I am biased) Either one is a big step; but if you are ready for a change the I say go for it. Another option to consider, and would cost you nothing; and you would not have your 80's stuck on a server/faction you do not like.

Roll a new toon as Horde on a different server or two and see if you fit in. If you like what you see, and the guild you found; then, and only then transfer you main(s). Really, why bother spending real money to do the faction/server change just to discover you aren't happy with it?

If you are considering a faction/server change you might be a perfect member for our guild. Very casual and laid back. We do weekly randoms and some of us are in to pvp. Someone is always asking if for folks to group for randoms (raids/dungeon pvp), but no pressure to go if you don't want to. I have yet to meet a single PvE or PvP elitist in our guild.

Problem for you would be; faction/server change. You would be welcome with us, but it is a you decision.

    Battlegroup: Emberstorm
    Server: Nesingwary
    Guild: The Red Dragon Highlord
