It's ridiculous.

I've never done a bg in my entire warlock career - nope, I'm very much the PvE sort who by chance ended up on a PvP server and stuck around due to not wanting to leave my friends.

Heck, I even left once and came back! Dumb server...

Anyway, I'm...really scared of bgs. I did some research on
both Alterac Valley and Wintergrasp, like the good student I am, but I still can't bring myself to queue up or fly into the zone.

I just keep remembering the one time I fished in Wintergrasp not understanding where I was, exactly, and some rogue stunned and slayed me in about 5 seconds.

Then this notice popped up later asking me if I wanted to join the battle and I freaked out and left.

Gah, I'm such a coward! The reason for this anxiety is that I want the title of "The Hallowed" and so I must complete 50 kills while under the influence of the G.N.E.R.D. candies, of which I have 98.

I have thusfar completed 2 kills toward the achievement...one was on an unsupecting victim alone near Scarlet Monastery (you can't attack me first, my name is BLUE, suckah!) and the next, a...a solo level 72 priest gone AFK outside the Wyrmrest temple. I know, it's so shameful! Just barely able to give honor and I killed them in cold blood. You know, after pacing around for 2 minutes trying to work up the nerve to attack.

Everyone says "Just go to Wintergrasp and throw a few DoTs around and hang back, you'll get the kills of everyone else."

I know, I'm just...I'm damn scared that I'll do something retarded and my fellow Hordies will call me a noob and blame me for ruining their battleground. I'm probably blowing this way out of proportion, as usual. Does anyone...have any suggestions or words of support? I want this achievement so badly, but it's sorta like...the cliche dream of being in front of a class while in your underwear. I practically feel that way given my squishy cloth attire and complete lack of any PvP gear or resilience. And just, in general, I'm the type of player to help out the Alliance rather than attack them. I just can't get into the whole PvP thing, but I have to do it at least 48 more times, like, soon. Halp.

    If you want to gain a lot of kills quickly then i recommend Wintergrasp. As for doing ok in Wintergrasp, here are some tips that might help you as a warlock. 1 - Stick with the crowd. To get an honor kill you don't even have to cast one spell on the target, you just need to be in the immediate area when they die. Try to do some damage, but gaining honor kills is better achieved by staying alive than doing damage. 2 - Stay alive as much as possible! You can best avoid taking damage by manning a cannon and shooting at the enemy tanks (or other targest when no vehicles are around shoot at). If you shoot at vehicles first, and players second, you should be left alone with minimal abuse from other players. This is because that's all you need to do when on a cannon. However, you can't always get to a cannon where the action is, which means you will be running around with the crowd where the action is. When you are doing this... 3 - Don't make yourself an obvious target. While fighting in the thick of the fight, try to hide in the crowd friendly's, if you can. Near the back, so melee with armour can take the brunt of the damage. The longer you aren't noticed by the enemy, the longer you will live to do damage, and also gain honor kills. If you do these things you should do well enough to not annoy other pvp'ers (too much) and get your required kills. Good luck and good hunting.

    Thanks everyone! So in a burst of courage, I joined the Wintergrasp battle while Horde was defending the keep, and I gotta say, it was MAD laggy and chaotic (yey for my crappy slow computer that gets 1fps in Dalaran!) but I got my G.N.E.R.D. rage kills in about 2 minutes without actually killing anyone myself!

    It wasn't for lack of trying, but I was incredibly disoriented, had no idea where to run, and didn't understand how to operate or get out of some of the machinery. But whatever. It's over, I got the achievement, and I'm not going back! :D

    Now if only the Sinister Squashling would drop already... -_-;

    Im not going to lie dude...pvping as a lock is a pain in the butt. but once you get good at it and get over your fear (no pun intended) ull lov it and lov tearing plate wearers to shreads. there are very few classes who can hold a candle to a good well trained lock.

    the easiest bg in my mind for locks is av...stay in a mob and nuke whom ever comes within your range.

    your nerviousness is the only thing that is holding you back from enjoying the world of pvp...you need to get over it and ull hav fun.
