Perri, was watching the Blood Elf rogue from his hidden vantage point. Sitting obscured by a small glade of trees, the Gnome managed to view his quarry with relative ease. The Elf was having little problem with the Dragon Whelps before him, but Perri had learned to wait, patience was his friend. Putting down his mug and taken his final bite from the cheese he had been eating, Perri stood up and laughed*. He had his chance for revenge, and by the gods he was going to take it...

The place to start with inter-player combat (PvP), in my opinion, is in a battleground (BG): Warsong Gulch, Alterac Valley, Arathi Basin, Eye of the Storm, Strand of the Ancients, and, for all practical purposes, Wintergrasp.
  • Dueling and arenas tend to involve experienced opponents in good PvP gear. It’s hard to learn from your mistakes when you are dead before you can do anything.

"Hardcore" vs. "Casual"

Quite a few people out there believe that “hardcore” is a matter of degree and that “casual” simply has no meaning in the WoW context. But Kagrra of the Druid Team has a definition and distinguishes the hardcores as those who think about the game when they're not playing it, and want to play it more. I'm not sure it's that straightforward. I know some folks who spend so many hours logged in that they don't need to think about WoW otherwise! For me, it's an escape, like reading fiction.
