But Kagrra of the Druid Team has a definition and distinguishes the hardcores as those who think about the game when they're not playing it, and want to play it more. I'm not sure it's that straightforward. I know some folks who spend so many hours logged in that they don't need to think about WoW otherwise! For me, it's an escape, like reading fiction. I'm maintaining...

The Burning Crusade, the first WoW expansion, took a day to be released, but several months to hit, at least on the Kul Tiras realm. The breakdown spread from two directions; Blizzard kept making changes to get servers ready, like populating Deadwind Pass with level-70 ghosts who dropped incredible greens we couldn’t equip, and players started changing their ambitions and their behavior in response to all the new goodies that were being promised. The beginning of the end was when guilds stopped...

I sort of fell into raiding. I leveled relatively quickly on a new server because I liked the world and the character but most of the people with toons at my level intended to raid with them. From 9 AM to about noon, Saturday, Aug. 16th, I and several guildies watched a hacker trash Amora's (our guildmaster) toons and the guild in an effort to quickly strip them of everything he could sell. Amora was out of town, as were most of the other officers. We fought tooth and nail to slow the hacker down, and he shut down the Phoenix to stop us. The guy appeared to be a professional and a foreigner.

Fighting...

So there we are at the guild party, and Sabetha declares that there will be contests. One of these is the n00best-moment-since-becoming-an-experienced-raider contest. We begin with the usual stories: soulstoning the wrong target, falling off elevators, blinking into a raid boss and wiping the raid... so on and so forth. However, there were a few clear winners:

How Priestn00b Became Ambassador to the Horde

We finally defeated that bum Anetheron (second boss of Mount Hyjal)...
