I thought about doing the "10 Things You Will/Will Not Miss from The Burning Crusade Now that You are in Northrend" blog, but I realized:

• It's too soon to really know what those are since I've only been in Northrend for a few days
• For the last year of TBC, I was mostly concerned witnTier 5/Tier 6 raiding. For the first several months of WotLK, I'll be busy leveling and gearing my main.

Much like the real world, Blizzard's World of Warcraft has some places that don't serve anyone's purposes; they're just there! There are a lot of players who have put serious time and effort into getting to them.

It's a brave new world out there... well not yet, just a few expansion features. Other than the achievement system, the new talent trees and so forth seem generally unexciting, but achievements are addictive, and everyone has their own priorities! The guild has gone absolutely nuts. We badly needed a break from serious raiding, and certain achievements offer an excuse for LOLraiding or at least guild cooperation. They...

From 9 AM to about noon, Saturday, Aug. 16th, I and several guildies watched a hacker trash Amora's (our guildmaster) toons and the guild in an effort to quickly strip them of everything he could sell. Amora was out of town, as were most of the other officers. We fought tooth and nail to slow the hacker down, and he shut down the Phoenix to stop us. The guy appeared to be a professional and a foreigner.

So there we are at the guild party, and Sabetha declares that there will be contests. One of these is the n00best-moment-since-becoming-an-experienced-raider contest. We begin with the usual stories: soulstoning the wrong target, falling off elevators, blinking into a raid boss and wiping the raid... so on and so forth. However, there were a few clear winners:
