The Warlocks Den - WoW Warlock Discussions

GC and Blizz got me thinking, what is the best way to improve Warlocks? If you are like me, you have a million and one ways to improve on them, but do they actually fit the warlock mould? That led me to this question, what is the essence of a warlock?

I get the feeling that Warlocks as a class has turned a corner with WotLK. I'm undecided as to whether its for better or worse, as there are patches coming out to "fix" a whole heap of things, read here (Upcoming Patch Notes - Bug Fixes (Haunt and SE!!) for more info from the forum.

What I'm wondering though, was becoming a Warlock just a fad during the BC era of WoW?
