connection issues

Hi guys,

My friend is having some issues with running wow at the same time as mumble/ts/vent even skype and msn, brousing websites etc

all of these cause sporadic and random DC's if she just has wow running then it seems to be fine.

shes on a 3.5mb internet connection running wifi to the laptop. my first reaction was its the wifi acting up but plugging in to the router shows little or no improvement in both gaming performance and figures from speedtest.net

i cant believe that skype and wow together could be maxing the connection out and upsetting wow?

suggestions please?

What's the problem?

World of Logs - Real Time Raid Analysis

That's the last log and although there were a few fights i did ok in (saurfang), there were many where i fell behind. Overall not pleased with my performance.

I've thot that one thing holding me back is lag/framerates. In the world & outlying areas of cities i get up to 150-200. But in cities it falls to 17-25 in Dal - bout the same it falls to in raids. I've got a spiffy computer with a good quality graphics card and should not be having these troubles - i know this is not a warlock question per se, but if anyone can direct me to some help on that it would be greatly appreciated :)

Pawn vs. Rhadatip

So I was searching around to see if anyone had volunteered to take on Rhadatip into the next expansion and I came across Pawn.
I really love rhadatip and it has increased my game significantly but some of the latest items found in ICC/RS simply aren't supported and rhada has indicated he doesnt have the time or energy to update rhadatip right now.

I'm wondering if anyone has used both rhadatip and pawn and if they could describe the pros and cons of each. I may have to switch to pawn once rhadatip becomes completely ineffective but would love a sneak peak.

does pawn have a gem optimizer?
does it support tier sets?
etc etc

I am raiding 75% of the time without a spriest/boomkin.

my gear is low on hit and i have to gem + food hit to cap.

i am trying to get up my SP and haste a bit but it drop my hit so bad.

for the hit raiting, should it be Gear> gem > food ?

i have also notice that i have a lot of crit%, i know haste should go first.
hit>sp>haste>crit

problems with warriors

So I do 2's with a resto shaman parter, I'm kind of new to the world of pvp, but am the 2nd most geared warlock on my server (PVE). I know how to react quickly and what not, my problem is the move intercept.
I've heard that intercept is 25 yards, and my ranged is 35 yards. thats all fine and good on an endless map without walls, but in an arena, the area is so confined it's hard for me to properly kite a warrior. Also with his fear immunity, i have a hard time cc'ing him.
If the warrior has a healer it's an easy fight, take out the healer and just tank through the warriors move while my healer keeps me alive.
But a dps/dps combo - i cannot defeat a warrior
So i'm looking for suggestions on how to deal with a warrior in a dps/dps scenario, or tips on how to deal with warriors in general

I was just wondering the forums when I came across Gallrocks post about The Dark Lady and Garrosh fighting.
In the video garrosh was wearing yet another outfit but this one...
Well he looked stupid to put it kindly
I wanted to ask one of you beta testers is this really how he is going to look cataclsym
if not could we get a screenshot please
(P.S the outfit Garrosh was wearing was what appeared to be spiked elephant tusks on his sholders... no chest armor... and brown pants)

Looks like they're counting on our pet buffs to be raidbuffs and will probably be normalized with the casted buffs. Blood Pact rivaling Fortitude and Fel Intelligence equal with Arcane Brilliance, not bad :)
I also note the mana regen for Affliction Warlocks. Is this a change for Fel Intelligence to give manareg instead of spirit? Considering the uselessness of spirit for warlocks in Cata it sounds logical.

Soulstones to become more like Rebirth?

This comment, first posted by Falcrist, introduces a possible new design for Soulstones in Cataclysm.

We are also considering (though it's less solid) making Soulstones work more like Rebirth -- you could essentially stone someone after they died and let them rez themselves -- in addition to the way they work currently. That way there would be two classes with battle rez, and we could go with the model of one per fight (maybe more in 25) rather than a long duration.

how's your AoE?

Hey gang, I was wondering if some of you could help explain the best AoE method for a destro lock. When I fight bosses (ICC) my dps is really strong (I'm usually in the top 5 of 25 man, and almost always the top dps warlock), however most of the time I get dominated on trash pulls when everyone is AoE-ing. Most of the time I just use Rain of Fire but I've had some people tell me that Seed of Corruption is best. I don't fully understand Seed, so I could be using it wrong. Anyway, hopefully you call can help, thanks!

- Is getting gear with emblems the only way to get better gear or at least good enough gear to raid? Is my it my gear or me? I'm full affliction spec, I don't really understand why my dps is so low. I don't clip my DoTs, I use the reccomended rotation,the only other thing I can think is that it's my gear but I really don't know. Please help open to any and all ideas.:X(

Honestly I don't even know where to start, I can't find better gear in the instances and I don't play enough to have enough emblems of frost for that gear. My DPS is crap please help

So I just finished reading the Lore section on the official site and all I can say was that it is a great read. I have been playing wow off and on for about 2.5 years and I didn't know half of the back story in the game. It's really cool to have an understanding of what's going on and not just walking into a raid and killing some boss for some gear. Adds another level of meaning I guess.

Anyway, if you have never read the lore, I would highly recommend it!

What's the problem?

I have a good GS - i like to call it gaz score for it's quite annoying to be asked all the time about your gear score allthough they should worry more about your skill - but i dont do a good dps - only about 5,5 k in icc 10 and thats not enough. I was a destro lock in The Burning Crusade but i switched to demonology since i think its the best dps spec at this time. I dont like much affliction for raids even if everybody sais it's the best spec.
So, i'm thinking, what do i do wrong? Can you help me with some advice? Plz?:)
