Hey everyone.
I'm going to let out four years of hopes and dreams here.
Yesterday I had taken the time to sit back and think about all the things that have changed during the Beta, though I have not had a first hand experience at all of the new skills and abilities I am really looking forward to trying them all out. For as long as I could remember, I had loved the idea of slowly leeching the life force out of my enemy and crippling them in many unique ways. This idea is what lead me to create a Warlock four years ago. It seems that in Cataclysm, that love has been made a reality. Since the recent changes, I've been wondering what the Den's point of view on our class in its current Beta state is.

Personally, I think we're heading in a great direction. I can't say much about Demonology and Destruction, but as far as Affliction goes, with the buffs to our crippling curses (read Curse of Exhaustion and Curse of Weakness) I am now fully content, there is nothing more I wish for. The way the Warlock class was portrayed in the description at the character creation screen finally reflects the gameplay that goes with it.

So, I'm curious!
Do you also like the Warlock in its current (Beta) state as I do or have you had an idea in the back of your head you wish would become a reality? What do you think the Warlock class should be like? (tree specific)

Downed heroic DW today on 10m for guild progression (10/12), but it was pretty darn tough for us.

I normally play a demo lock, but it gots nothing for crowd control / interrupts, so i went destructo.
Kiting those zombies is a pain, they literally sprint on heroic. Basically our wipes are caused by zombies not immediately dealth with on spawn / or killed before debuffs wear off.

Problem with destructo cc is its only a 5-sec slow, then it'll be back to sprinting. Unless i get another dps nuking him down from the start of the 5 secs with me, i'm probably not going to get the zombie down fast enough before it gets to me. The zombies are immune to stuns, so basically i use shadowfury to control the blood worms or interrupt a risen archmage.

So i'm wondering if afffliction is an option, with a constantly renewable curse of exahustion (but its only 30%, enough to kite fast zombies?). Or perhaps even getting voidwalker, trying to take a hit with sacrifice and landing a glyphed shadowflame?

Just wondering what other cc options we got....whats useful here. Especially with the zombies.
Anyone got a good method dealing with them as one of the main crowd controllers for heroic?

Hey Guys,

There was an interesting image over at wow.com that linked to a map found on this here page:

Hey Guys,

There was an interesting image over at wow.com that linked to a map found on this here page:
Map of World of Warcraft Online Communities - Tim Howgego

I find it interesting because this isn't just a map of WoW, its a map of the WoW community. On top of that, the Warlocks Den has our own little island on the map. So for anybody wondering where the den is actually located, there you have it. We are located uncomfortably close to the Rogue Spot.

The article under the map image goes on to explain all the various locations and why they're on the map itself. There is a link to the Warlocks Den further down the page. This is an interesting concept, a community map. Maybe you'll find it as interesting as I.

This topic comes up alot on forums, and I feel it is a conflicting thing. A lot of people say that WoW requires no skill. Nobody needs 'skill' to look something up on the internet, to research specs, rotations, etc. Nobody needs 'skill' to read up on boss fights. Do we need skill to actually play?

What do you find challenging about content? If it was as simple as reading up, learning, and doing, why do people still have problems with their dps? Or are struggling to get bosses down? I think the biggest challenge is organising people. People working together to one common goal.

But where does skill come into it? What makes somebody good at WoW? When learning a new boss encounter, is it players skills that down the boss? Or just practise?

I'm struggling here, help me out. An interesting discussion I think.

At this late stage in the expansions life, although there are still probably new players every day, I'm guessing that most of us by now have seen a lot of what's left to see in Wrath of the Lich King (until the pre-Cata events, that is). Today's poll is about what you're doing until Deathwing tears Azeroth asunder. What are you spending your in-game time doing now that the Lich King has been dethroned?

Extra points for sharing stories of your post-Icecrown coping mechanisms.

LFS (Looking For Server)

So i think i am moving my Rogue to another server... I'm Looking for PVP-RP or even just PVP.

So i think i am moving my Rogue to another server... I'm Looking for PVP-RP or even just PVP.

I want a server with lots of world PVP going on. and has plenty of Horde... but MORE Alliance.

I also think the battlegroup should be a big factor. decent win/loss ratio for both sides as well as little to no wait times.

my server (Alleria) is starting to go downhill, the battlegroup (Rampage) is full of 10 year olds and trolls that are right up there with Trade Channel; half the time they just sit around and troll each other instead of fighting. This may be a standard thing across all battlegroups but i hope I can find one that is a little bit more hardcore.

So does anybody have any suggestions as to where i could go? any resources for finding what i am looking for? :)

Thanks guys!
