Making money from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvl
How do you make a profit from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvls. I'm 375 Tailoring with my only non-BOP worth while epic being the Battlecast pants. I see others advertise their rares, your mats, their nether. I have 2 nethers atm, just working on the mats for the pants for myself. How much do you normally charge for nethers when you sell your skill? I'm 365 Enchanting, with mostly vendor recipes, a few mob drops, but no world drops like Boar's Speed yet. (I'm working on getting the Kara enchants still). How do you market yourself, especially against those who give it free with your mats? I'd like to see some profit, to fund my own epics and enchants, but need help getting to do so. |

You could try solo farming Void crystals out of Heroic SP. |

if you're running kara, then you can stock up on soul essence's, and make soulcloth gloves, and shard them for an easy void crystal. before I even set foot in kara, I'd picked up enough essences from the ah to get void crystals cheaper than the ah prices. |

Re: Making money from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvl
Something that's real easy and yields a small but significant when done in large quantites over time is picking up the White Bandit Mask pattern (I think it's available from a vendor somewhere...have to WoWhead it to be sure) and you can make a ton of those real cheap by either farming or AH'ing mageweave and d/e them for Vision dust and some Nether Essences and the occasional shard. I do it off and on and done in large quantites which still isn't to time consuming can really pay off. Just don't do it to much to often and crash the vision dust market by flooding it or anything :D |

Re: Making money from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvl
I did the whole White bandit mask trick during my leveling , sometime after a ZF run I made 36 mask and got over 120 Vision dust and some Nether essense , sure did make a profit. but that's small cash when you get to the higher levels, basicly the best way to make money is getting those rare ones , it's what brings in the big bucks. Also if you got something that can be made by nether essence you hit the jackpot .. with mats delivered you could charge 300-500g depending on your server |

Don't forget about bags. I still make a decent income making high end bags on my server.

Re: Making money from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvl
I already know about the void crystal bit. Just need to get a guildie to get me leather. Course, I'm at the point where I want to save the voids for my end game enchants, once I get them.. What about marketing your nether in tailoring...how do you price that? |

Re: Making money from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvl
I'd say, if you can make a nether-worthwhile pattern, you can charge 200 - 350 g crafting fee on top of the materials for it. If it's a rare recipe, and you're the only tailor on your server able to make a girdle of ruination or whatever, people will pay the 350g, just not all that often. The other thing to remember is - the real profit is in mining / herbing / skinning. None of the crafting professions really have a lot of profit in them. Even if you make some temporary profit (selling a nether for 350g), you'll still end up behind where you would have been if you'd have just kept mining, since you blew through 2kg of materials getting to 375 tailoring. Tailoring isn't about the profits, it's about the BoPs. For enchanting, I market my enchantments, but most high-end enchantments are common enough that most people who need them have guildmates that are able to do them for free. A big guild into raiding is a lot more likely to either recruit an accomplished enchanter, or take one of their enchanters to farm Auch Crypts for the +12 stam 'chant. So, the best way to make money off of enchanting is to use the Enchantrix addon. I cruise the AH for underpriced 50-60 level items, DE them for the illusion dust and GEEs, and turn a profit. |

Also, one of my guildies solo-farms BRD for large brilliant shards. There is still a good market for those. He'll do his max number of resets in an hour. |

Re: Making money from Tailoring and Enchanting at high lvl
It cost more more money to level those 2 jobs that i won crafting stuffs But : if you get a epic pattern (i got spellcraft pants), you can sell the craft and the primatl nether (you get in heroic instances) around 100gold + materials (prices depend on your serveur i guess) |
