two toons(alts) with same trades?

of coarse my main is lock tailoring / enchanting.
I have a few alts with all different profession( most alts are not over level 25)
my rog alt(level 60) has herb/alchemy atm..pretty high level
I started a horde druid alt( level 16 atm) and was going for skinning/mining just to sell mats, but got to thinking maybe herbs/alchemy would be good for the druid, but I already have a toon with those trades, just seems like a waste to have 2 guys with the same pro's on the same server/side

so the question: is it common for people to have multi trades on alts on the same account/server?

I know its a game and I can play how ever I like, but I like to try to get the most out of classes/alts

I think two charecters with the same professions is most useful when there are several good bop items from that proffesion. For instance, both my lock main and priest alt were tailors. Alchemy probably won't be overly useful since another alchemist toon of your could make them whatever pots they want for leveling.

Having a second herbalist, especially a tauren, can't hurt though unless you really think find yourself needing minerals.

I've seen several people with multiple alchemists. Each alchemist means another daily transmute, with multiple chances at multiple procs if all of them are Transmute specialists (level 68).

I'll be rocking the double alchemist come 2.4, my hunter will be 70 so I can farm trees in skettis for herbs/primals, and my warlock really could use the T2 alchemy trinket in conjunction with mad alchemist potions =D

So could my rogue, for that matter. hrm.
