Herbalism gathering problem

I have a 70 pally alt thats 375/375 herbalism.I use him to farm for fel lotus, which on another alt i make flask of pure death, & do dailies to support my raiding on my warlock.
I was in SMV the other day on a herb run & i saw some nightmare vine.i flew down & there was a 70 druid in cat form killing some ashtounge nearby. He was well down on health (at around 10%) but i didn't attack him. i started "gathering" the nightmare vine.The druid then came & attacked me this "interupted" my "gathering". I didn't think he was after herbs as he had more dead ashtounge around him than was required to clear to the herb. He still had 2 ashtounge beating on him & i fought back as well. He went down to 1% health & i used hammer of justice (6 second stun) the stun graphic (swirls above his head) came up. His health stayed at 1% for around 3 seconds-with 3 beating on him- 2 astounge & myself.He then cast lifebloom on himself,whilst still stunned!
I thought that maybe i was lagging or something.He then killed my character ( my pallys only in greens & blues) from full health & the 2 ashtounge & picked the herb.
I ran back & ressed my character-while still astounded at what had happened & resumed flying looking for herbs. i found another nightmare vine shortly after & landed & started to "gather" it. This same druid came & attacked me again. when he attacked me it again interupted me. He then started to "gather" the herb so i concecrated & attacked him.He was NOT interupted! He finished gathering the herb then killed my character again.
Is this a druid racial that i haven't heard of-not being interupted when attacked ?
I have serious concerns about the entire incedent but would like some input about this please.

If you're attacked and the hit lands, you are interrupted, no exceptions. I would guess you probably missed the attack (druids can have massive dodge bonuses making them damn near impossible to hit) and he continued herbing. If he was in bear form that would be my guess (same for cat). I have a low level druid, but I know that if you are struck you are interrupted from gathering. As for the little episode...well, I'll leave my opinions on that aside. The stun thing has me confused though. But then lag would be my guess there too. EDIT: Now that I look at it, you cast consecration...does that have a miss chance? If not...HAXOR!

I checked my combat log & it said:-
!@#1$ ( the druid)casts gathering
enduro (my pally) casts concecration
!@#1$ takes 125 (or so ) damage from concecrate
!@#1$ takes 125 damage from concecrate
!@#1$ takes 125 damage from concecrate
!@#1$ takes xxx (i can't remember how much but he definately took damage) damage from (whatever melee damage i did)
!@#1$ receives nightmare vine x 2

I definately damaged him but it just didn't stop him gathering the herb.
The 1% health & didn't die with 2 NPCs & me beating on him i still can't believe. I reported the incident but i'm not holding my breathe on blizz even investigating- i got the usual "wait time unavailable" till i logged an hour or more later- though i got the "we will investigate this fully" (& tell no one) e-mail

People tend to think that there aren't any hackers in the game, and no one exploits their knowledge of game mechanics/friends they have in blizzards employ. I've seen enough speed hacks/free levelups happen right in front of me (not to mention level 1's cruising around STV one-shotting gorillas) to believe otherwise.

Barkskin is a druid spell that gives them a resistence to interruption.

I don't know if gathering works the same as capping a flag in a BG, but things like concecration don't interrupt a flag cap in BGs. It will break stealth but someone standing in it not being hit by anything else can still finish the 10 sec flag cap, I'm thinking its the same thing for gathering. I wouldn't rely on concecration to interrupt people. As for the hammer of justice thing, that's just odd unless he trinketed out of it.

I had forgotten about Barkskin and that info on Battlegrounds is intriguing to me. But yeah, I would probably guess he's a hacker if he was able to hold at 1% health with three things beating on him and still manages to down them all even while stunned. Report him (which you did it looks like) and let Blizz deal with it.

Hmm just read up on "barkskin"-warlocks are definately OP
somehow i think we have been getting screwed for a while now-we still win but its getting harder.
on aside note we did the first 3 bosses in hyjal last night & the night i win the WWS won't load lol
