Any new info on the Inscription profession?

Hi there,

I've once again tumbled into my wondering and dreaming about the next WoW expansion, and all the joys that it may bring. I found myself wondering about this new profession, Inscription. Not much has been said about it.

Here is what I've heard:

The Inscription profession will allow players to permanently enhance their own spells and abilities and those of other players. You can think of it as enchanting for your spells and abilities.
Players will be able to produce standalone inscriptions to trade or sell to other players, and special inscriptions will be available only to those with this profession.
An example was adding a kickback to a fire bolt spell, which I assume means you could cast a fire bolt and knock an enemy backwards away from you.

Has anybody heard anything new regarding this profession? I wonder how it will work. Also, whey they say "permanent" I'm thinking they mean like socketing gems or enchants where it stays on you until you replace it with another inscription.

I wonder, what type of inscriptions would we as a class like to see?

When casting a Shadowbolt, fear, banish or enslave, the targets resistance to spells is reduced?
When casting fear the target has a chance of being stunned for a few seconds? May help keep them from running all over the place.
An inscription on Deathcoil that would have a kickback effect as well, sending the target flying back a few yards and then running further away after that?
