What's your way of making gold?
Saving up for an epic flying mount for my Priest has made me curious as to how other players make gold in-game. I've never had a problem making enough money for consumables etc on my Warlock, but 7000 gold isn't something you come by every day. I personally hate doing dailies and find the time spent doing them and traveling not worth the gold. I can't normally make raid times for my guild, so I don't have the good 200-odd gold from Naxxramas every week. I do the PvP dailies, advertise my maxed Tailoring and Enchanting in trade while I'm in cities, and clear at least 1 or 2 quick raids a week. When I can get a good deal for mats, I make Frostweave Bags or Spellthreads to sell. I also keep a Hat of Wintry Doom auction up all the time, since most DPS casters will buy it as entry-level raiding gear. Every few days, I buy a few stacks of ore from the AH on my Priest (a JC), prospect them, make rings, and send them to my Warlock to DE to keep myself supplied with enchanting mats. A large amount of my gold income actually stems from tips for enchants. What's your personal method for making gold? If you have any secrets I'd love to hear them, since I now need to make 4k gold before leveling my Priest. Last edited by jon__; March 06, 2009 at 07:55 PM.. |

farm cloth Netherweave and Frostweave sell nicely in the AH. Also, do dailies.. Ice Crown and Basin (if I recall correctly) have the most dailies.-Oli |

Re: What's your way of making gold?
One thing I do is advertise the epic JC rings and neck pieces in trade, and when someone is interested, I discreetly "brb" and log my bank alt to undercut 4 dragon's eye on the AH. The customer buys the gems, and I get a modest crafting fee for a nice 700-900g. However since you're an enchanter that's no good to you. That said, if you have a JC friend you might find this helpful: There are a few ways to do this, so pick one that works for you. Gather or buy eternal earth and eternal shadow. Ask your JC friend to make you a batch of Stoneguard Band and / or Shadowmight Ring . The cost of making these items can be ridiculously cheap depending on your server prices but the rings themselves DE into a mixture of greater eternal essences, Infinite Dust and Dream Shards. As you're probably aware, the demand for enchanting mats is usually very predictable so you're looking at at least a third back in profit. If you don't buy them and have eternals laying around, all the better, time wise. Alternatively, skilling JCers will sell these items for around 15g each on AH thinking that if they can make just a little bit of money back it will soften the costs of leveling their profession. Buy them cheap and sell the enchanting mats back on AH for double what you paid for them. It's a small risk involved, and will take a bit on knowledge of the AH and the economy, but generally speaking if you can get the rings cheaply, you're onto a winner.

Re: What's your way of making gold?
I do one daily, thats the Cooking one. I buy spices with the awards now, since I finally have my Chef title. Then while I wait for raids to start, I go fishing in Grizzly Hills. Fish up some Glacial Salmon, and make the Firecracker Salmon. It sells for roughly 115g per stack on my server. I also am a tailor, so I make Ebonweave and Moonshroud whenever the cooldown is up. Shining / Azure Spellthread sell way tooo cheap on my server, but if you put your stuff up at the right time you can still make a good profit off of those. I currently have a level 61 herb/miner, he's making gold easily. But thats the obvious answer :P |

Quests. Seriously, you get more gold then you know what to do with just doing quests in northrend. You'll get to 80 well before you get anywhere near all of them done. I made almost 500G 3 doing solo clears of stratholm today on my protection paladin as well. Those items sell nice, and fill your bags mighty quick. |

I do my pvp daily and cooking daily every day. I don't really need gold as i made so much from my herbing. I don't personally see the point in having more then 10k gold when i have everything i need or want ![]() Herbing and mining Guide - The Warlocks Den Forums |

Re: What's your way of making gold?
i made some nice gold selling DeathChill cloaks. Since i've got to buy the siren's tear, which is about 150gold, i still get a profit of ~500g per cloak. |

Re: What's your way of making gold?
I usually do dailies and since I have a specific route I follow and a specific order I do them in, I tend to get the most bang for my buck with them. Lately though I have taken to farming Stratholme which takes me 10-13 min a run and clears me anywhere from 30-40g a run. I'm basically farming for the mount (139 runs and counting), but find the time to money ratio is the best I have ever seen. Now, if only they would let up on that 5 run lock out and I would be on easy street. Oh, yeah...making and selling Darkmoon cards usually nets me around 2-3k a week. |

Re: What's your way of making gold?
Vaell: On my server, the price of rings and gems has gone way down since most people have caught on to the JC trend. Enchanting mats still command a good price, although the price of Essences has dropped a good 50% since the first month of Wrath. |

Re: What's your way of making gold?
The way i make gold is from minding big $$ in minding. I also make money from skinning on my other toon. I use different professoins to make money, though i do run instances to sell the stuff that i get in the AH. Many ways to make gold in wow lol.
