Sneaking into Stormwind, Our plan(Horde Fishing - Stockade Run)
Needing a break from the same old daily grind of instance after instance. I thought what better way then to go and get some of those achievements that I have been putting off. A friend suggested that we do a Stormwind run tonight and I have to say that sounds fun. Here is what our plan is:
 Anyone care to share your stories of sneaking into Stormwind or Ironforge? Have any tips to make this a fun time and not just a corpse run. ****I placed this in professions since we are there to fish (achievement and named fish catching) but if this needs to be elsewhere I am sorry for my blunder. Haha - oh Stockades. What a fun time I had getting that ach. Being as smart as I am, I thought I could run in through the front gate and the ally would leave me a alone, right? Why was I so naive? 7...very very long corpse runs later, I made it in their...or so I thought. "You cannot be saved to this instance"...WTF? Boots me out. Their I am, at the Stockades portal, in the middle of SW...pressed up against the wall hoping to hell I don't get seen. Keep trying to zone in; error after error. Finally I make it. Do the run. Hearth. I did the fishing ach by getting in through the harbor, but only far enough to be in "Stormwind".

I actually just ran in the front door to get the fishing achievement with no worries. I ran down the hill and up to the corner and fished for the achievement. I haven't been to Ironforge yet though... |

Eh, at this point no one really cares. I did SW via the front gate with little resistance, then off to the tram for IF. |

If you want fun in killing some alliance players, there is the portal you can run into at the top of the tower in the magic quarter in stormwind, makes for a nice place to spam aoe when they run it.

Yep we were in and out with no problems. Matter of fact we were disappointed that there was no one there to challenge us. It was just too easy sadly. |

I just ran in front gate. Guards are no problem killing them till I get to the water (by the shaman trainer I think?). After that, I jsut ran to Stockades. Had to sue a Soulstone once, but otherwise no issues with alliance players. Either they were AFK or just didn't care... |

As an Alli player, as long as your fishing, or trying to run stocks I, as well as most the people I know, will leave you alone. The only time that I will even mess with someone is if they are killing lower level people. Example, 2 level 80 horde were at the gates of IF killing 20's and 30's that thought they could take them. then they were GY camping and killing them over and over again. (actually when I went to go "help" them out, I died, and ended up getting camped as well for about 5 min till i had some friends help me. I can not withstand the power of a pally and a rouge together, at last not alone) Ive also known people with 80 toons on both factions and tell their friends to kinda "guard" them in as well. |

Your "Red Line" is going to get you confused. Where you have the sharp right into the city, you actually need to veer left slightly to hit the ramp upwards. As pretty as Stormwind Harbor is, it's a real pain in the butt to move around. Watch yourselves in the harbor area too, I'm pretty sure we've got stealth-detect patrollers there just for this reason. You'll probably be far better off fishing in the harbor for the fishing achievement than you would be trying to do it in the canals. That'll let you make a straight run to the Stocks rather than dodging around into corners of the canals. Good luck with your run, and kindly don't poke the Alliance that are trying to manage Orgrimmar when you see them.
