Little late bud? We were buffed. Yes locks rape as of 3.0.3. Beta said we are now top dps at 80, compared to the week before we were the worst.

This makes me wonder. Math suggests that if one person does 2k dps for 10 minutes that he will do more damage than another person doing 1.5k dps for the same duration. Given this, how does someone with a much lower dps do more damage?

The person with a very high dps might have pulled agro and gotten killed. I belive most meters only measure your DPS based on the amount of time you were in combat.

Thats because one person (i.e a shammy) may hit a mob once and stop casting and get 2k dps

A warlock may hit serveral mobs, keep DoTs on and lifetap and their dps will drop because the DoT's are still ticking, so the damage they inflict per second drops as it it only a DoT doing minimal damage.
But damage non the same

Who will have the highest DPS?

The shammy who only done one hit!!

It means nothing, forget DPS and just check the damage meter

We still pwn, No doubt
